Kara Prewitt, a devoted mother of three, suffers from childhood rheumatoid arthritis. After years of different treatments and medications, she will have to undergo both, a double knee replacement and then a double hip replacement. This will result in extended rehabilitation, daily physical therapy and months away from work. Kara’s insurance will only cover a portion of the costs and the rest will need to be paid out of pocket.
